Airborn scanner «Eagle»

Airborn scanner «Eagle»

"Eagle" scanner

The “Eagle” aviation scanner is an optical multi—zone scanning device

Scope of use

The complex is designed to obtain images of the Earth’s surface in various spectral ranges.

Operation principle

The scanner collects optical information from several spectral ranges by a number of separate optical receivers in the direction transverse to the direction of flight of the carrier aircraft. In the longitudinal direction, the scanning is carried out due to the movement of the aircraft. The viewing angle of the device is such that when scanning the Earth’s surface from an AN-30 aircraft from a height of 5000 meters, it allows you to have a scanning strip on the Earth’s surface with a width of 5000 meters.

The scanner is installed in the standard photo hatch of the AN-30 aircraft in a specialized hermetic container.
